Once in a while, something happens to brighten up your day. And no matter how small or insignificant that little something is, it keeps a smile on your face.

A little something happened to me. To others it may seem like the natural thing for someone else to do, but to me, it was sweet.

Thanks. :)

I think the JC I'm studying in is the only JC to successfully make studying seem like the cool thing to do.

Ha.

And all without the teachers' or school's efforts.

The past week I've been going to school everyday without fail. (Whatever happened to school holidays...?! I have observed that holidays cease to exist once you fall headlong into the terrible clutches of tertiary education, ha.)

I've been burying myself in the recesses of The Reading Room, studying, so much so that it has become like a second home. Apparently The Reading Room is the hotspot for mugging because everybody converges there for their muggerationing. It feels like a cosy little office because everyday the same people march into this air-conditioned space with their same briefcases [sch bags] at their own same timing, makes a beeline for their respective same tables and get lost in piles of paperwork.

Then, like clockwork, a tide of restlessness will sweep through the room at approximately 11.25am and 6pm. Shuffling of paper, shifting of positions, heightened whispering, all signal the impatience of mealtimes. After which, people stay for OT till 9.30pm.

I am not completely sure I turn up everyday for the correct reasons, but I'm proud to say I am part of the study force.

You know, I suspect that if ever The Reading Room opens till midnight, people will not leave till the security guard uncle comes a-shooing. Me included. Though for whatever reasons I have yet to clearly determine.

I think even the president doesn't work this hard. (Or maybe he does, hehh.)

Now I know how my mom feels after a day at work.
